This project is now in the final stages with pre-release testing being completed over the next few weeks, and we expect to start going live late May 2019. It has been a real team effort involving the MMPO and a small committed group of New Zealand community midwives representing the views and needs of our users from remote rural to urban.
The improvements you will see and feel, are absolutely focused on an easier way in which you will follow and document the pregnancy and be able to navigate throughout the application.
This solution will retain the key benefits and features of the current system including;
- Helping to ensure not only a comprehensive pregnancy record that will keep you and the woman (and baby) safe, but also
- Give you confidence that the woman’s and your health data is secure and private.
It is important for you to know that the MIS application will continue to be accessible in its current form, with improved flow and navigation based on the iPad work expected to be released in June 2019.
There are future plans for the MIS application to be web based (expected late 2019), which will mean that as long as you have access to a Wi-Fi connection then you will be able to access MIS on any type of device (including Apple, Android and Windows or desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone).
